Welcome from The President

Welcome to the website of Penn Cricket Club where we hope you will find some useful and interesting facts and information about the Club.

Penn Cricket Club is a friendly and family-orientated club and as such it is not unusual to find two generations of the same family playing together in its teams. Along with a growing youth and ladies’ section we encourage this aspect in order to help secure the Club’s future.

The continuing upgrade of the Club’s equipment has seen the acquisition this season of new sight screens and a new ground cover to help in the constant battle against the elements. A further commitment by the Club to ensure its future for its members incorporates two new projects:

Firstly, the installation of a new two-lane practice net facility, designed and installed to E.C.B. standards.

Penn CC new net facility Secondly, the total refurbishment of the old Scout Hut building situated on the Club land to create a new Club Lounge and Bar, ideally sited overlooking the cricket square and score box.

Penn CC New Pavilion Plans

This second project will enable the existing Pavilion to be used solely for cricketing purposes, i.e. changing rooms, umpires’ changing rooms, showers, kitchen, tea room, meeting room.

These are exciting times for Penn Cricket Club as we seek to build for the future. If you too are captivated by the enthralling game of cricket, either as a player or spectator, we would welcome the opportunity to greet you personally at the ground.

John Fellows,

President,

Penn Cricket Club.
